Switch #:
SWTI000115
Switch type:
Binary
Switch subtype:
Physicochemical compatibility

Description:
Phosphorylation of T1075 in the 14-3-3-binding motif of Serine/threonine-protein kinase RIM15 (RIM15) induces binding to the Protein BMH2 (BMH2) protein. This interaction sequesters Serine/threonine-protein kinase RIM15 (RIM15) in the cytoplasm, thereby inhibiting its function.

Participants:
(1) Serine/threonine-protein kinase RIM15 (RIM15)
(2) Protein BMH2 (BMH2)

Interactions
Interaction #1 RIM15 - BMH2

Interfaces
(1) LIG_14-3-3_3 motif (1072RSSTPP1077) in Serine/threonine-protein kinase RIM15 (RIM15)
(2) 14-3-3 protein (5-241) in Protein BMH2 (BMH2)

Interaction Regulation
PTM-dependent Induction (Phosphorylation of T1075 on Serine/threonine-protein kinase RIM15 (RIM15)) of the Serine/threonine-protein kinase RIM15 (RIM15) LIG_14-3-3_3 motif - Protein BMH2 (BMH2) 14-3-3 protein interaction

Regulatory Enzymes for switch
Modifying enzymes for residue: T1075: Cyclin-dependent protein kinase PHO85 (PHO85)
