Switch #:
SWTI000345
Switch type:
Avidity-sensing

Description:
Phosphorylation of Y182 and Y193 in the ITAM motif of B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein alpha chain (Cd79a) induces high-avidity binding to the tandem SH2 domains of Tyrosine-protein kinase SYK (Syk). Maximal Syk activation requires both Syk SH2 domains and phosphorylation of both ITAM tyrosine residues.

Participants:
(1) B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein alpha chain (Cd79a)
(2) Tyrosine-protein kinase SYK (Syk)

Interactions
Context
References

(1) Syk protein-tyrosine kinase is regulated by tyrosine-phosphorylated Ig alpha/Ig beta immunoreceptor tyrosine activation motif binding and autophosphorylation.
