Description: Alternative splicing removes the PDZ-binding motif of Isoform 5-HT4(A) of 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 4 (Htr4), abrogating binding to Na(+)/H(+) exchange regulatory cofactor NHE-RF1 (Slc9a3r1). Isoform 5-HT4(A) of 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 4 (Htr4) interacts specifically with a protein complex including Slc9a3r1 and Ezrin (Ezr) that might participate in its targeting to specialised subcellular regions, such as microvilli.
Participants: (1) Isoform 5-HT4(A) of 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 4 (Htr4) (2) Na(+)/H(+) exchange regulatory cofactor NHE-RF1 (Slc9a3r1)
