Description: Phosphorylation of S458 in the PCNA-binding motif of DNA polymerase delta subunit 3 (POLD3) by cAMP subfamily reduces the affinity of binding to the Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and decreases the processivity of the polymerase complex.
Participants: (1) DNA polymerase delta subunit 3 (POLD3) (2) Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA)
(1) Phosphorylation of the p68 subunit of Pol δ acts as a molecular switch to regulate its interaction with PCNA.Rahmeh et al. Biochemistry (2012)
