Switch #:
SWTI000167
Switch type:
Binary
Switch subtype:
Physicochemical compatibility

Description:
Dual phosphorylation of S497 and T501 in the TrCP1-binding motif of Protein aurora borealis (BORA) targets the protein to the SCF ubiquitin ligase complex, which marks it for degradation.

Participants:
(1) Protein aurora borealis (BORA)
(2) F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 1A (BTRC)

Interactions
Interaction #1 BORA - BTRC

Interfaces
(1) DEG_SCF_TRCP1_1 motif (496DSGYNT501) in Protein aurora borealis (BORA)
(2) WD domain, G-beta repeat (297-329) and (333-369) and (373-409) and (416-452) and (456-492) and (496-532) and (545-581) in F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 1A (BTRC)

Interaction Regulation
PTM-dependent Induction (Phosphorylation of S497 and T501 on Protein aurora borealis (BORA)) of the Protein aurora borealis (BORA) DEG_SCF_TRCP1_1 motif - F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 1A (BTRC) WD domain, G-beta repeat interaction
