Description:
Binding of Beta-arrestin-1 (ARRB1) to ligand-induced, phosphorylated GPCRs results in a conformational change that makes the AP2-beta interaction motif in Beta-arrestin-1 (ARRB1) accessible for binding to AP-2 complex subunit beta (AP2B1), which mediates internalization of the GPCR.
