Switch #:
SWTI000238
Switch type:
Binary
Switch subtype:
Physicochemical compatibility

Description:
Phosphorylation of S112 in the 14-3-3 binding motif of Yorkie homolog (Yap1) induces binding to the 14-3-3 protein epsilon (Ywhae) protein. 14-3-3 retains phosphorylated YAP in the cytosol, negatively regulating its function.

Participants:
(1) Yorkie homolog (Yap1)
(2) 14-3-3 protein epsilon (Ywhae)

Interactions
Interaction #1 Yap1 - Ywhae

Interfaces
(1) LIG_14-3-3_1 motif (109RAHSSP114) in Yorkie homolog (Yap1)
(2) 14-3-3 protein (4-239) in 14-3-3 protein epsilon (Ywhae)

Interaction Regulation
PTM-dependent Induction (Phosphorylation of S112 on Yorkie homolog (Yap1)) of the Yorkie homolog (Yap1) LIG_14-3-3_1 motif - 14-3-3 protein epsilon (Ywhae) 14-3-3 protein interaction
