Switch #:
SWTI000603
Switch type:
Binary
Switch subtype:
Physicochemical compatibility

Description:
Phosphorylation of S645 in the PTB-binding motif of Phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate 5-kinase type-1 gamma (Pip5k1c) by Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (Cdk5) inhibits its interaction with Talin-1 (Tln1).

Participants:
(1) Phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate 5-kinase type-1 gamma (Pip5k1c)
(2) Talin-1 (Tln1)

Interactions
Interaction #1 Pip5k1c - Tln1

Interfaces
(1) ELM:LIG_PTB_Talin motif (645SPLH648) in Phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate 5-kinase type-1 gamma (Pip5k1c)
(2) PTB domain (IRS-1 type) (310-401) in Talin-1 (Tln1)

Interaction Regulation
PTM-dependent Inhibition (Phosphorylation of S645 on Phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate 5-kinase type-1 gamma (Pip5k1c)) of the Phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate 5-kinase type-1 gamma (Pip5k1c) LIG_PTB_Talin motif - Talin-1 (Tln1) PTB domain (IRS-1 type) interaction

Regulatory Enzymes for switch
